You guessed it... real organic butter is better than margarine! And here's why:
Real organic butter actually contains many health benefits, some that might happily surprise you!
Butter contains many nutrients that can help prevent against heart disease.
It has short and medium-chain fatty acids that protect against cancer.
The saturated fats in butter are essential to lung function and can protect against asthma.
And the vitamin A in butter is essential for the thyroid gland to function properly.
Contrary to popular belief, butter does not make you fat. The fatty acids in butter don’t even need to be broken down by our gut. They’re absorbed directly from the small intestine and converted into energy. Our body is satiated when we feed it the many nutrients in butter. This reduces our cravings for other empty foods, because we’ve actually given our body what it needs. Real organic butter is a blessing to your diet!
On the other side of the coin, however, margarine is full of harmful ingredients and potential health issues!
Margarine is full of free radicals, bleach, preservatives, and toxic chemicals.
The unnatural, trans fats in margarine can contribute to heart disease, cancer, bone problems, and skin disease!
So when you're out buying better and not margarine, the best butter to buy is either raw or pasteurized butter or organic butter from grass-fed cows. And even if you can't get it from grass-fed cows, real butter is always a better, healthier choice over margarine!
